Hi everybody and welcome to 2026!

I for one am looking forward to kicking off the new photographic year and catching up with you all at the first meeting in February. I say looking forward although it is with a tinge of disappointment - I should have been in Antarctica, but had to cancel at the very last minute. Ah well, worse things have happened! Maybe another time.

I hope you have all been busy thinking about how you might expand or extend your photographic journey. For my part, I have been fine tuning my historic/alternative print making process using platinum and palladium solutions to produce archival prints of the absolute finest quality. I must say they look rather grand when framed in groups on the wall. As part of the process, I have also converted my printer to one capable of producing monochrome prints only, so you won't be seeing any colour entries from me for the foreseeable future.

I'm happy to discuss these activities with anyone interested in pursuing a similar alternative process.

Head on over to the Links page where I have posted a few photography articles from the internet which you may find interesting.

2026 Annual Program posted

Follow the link in the main menu to view the year's program. We have an interesting new workshop planned at the beginning of the year. We will be having another collaborative workshop / photoshoot similar to the Nowra Players a couple of years ago. This time it will be with a local dance group who meet Wednesday nights at the Nowra School of Arts.

Some workshops have been substituted by club photo outings to interesting places and events. Attendance at these outings will give you the opportunity to capture suitable images for assessment nights following later in the year. Zoom meetings will be going the way of the dodo. They were not well enough attended to warrant the cost of a subscription.

Also available is a consolidated annual program, courtesy of Denis, which shows all the assessments, workshops, photo outings and a new monthly coffee shop / photoshoot gathering. These are planned for the third Sunday of each month and will run so long as they remain popular enough. See the field trips and outings menu item.
